Yes, it's 3 am in the morning and I am writing this blog right from Swami Vivekananda International Airport, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
People must be wondering why 3 am at Raipur Airport?
I had my morning flight from Nagpur which was well planned. But, my sincere thanks to Indian Railway who delayed my Boarding train from Raipur to Nagpur by 2:59 minutes. Its big risk to travel and miss the Air India 8:25 am flight from Nagpur to Delhi. So, finally at last minute emergency , I booked ticket for Raipur to Delhi.
Raipur railway station is clean and at 2 am also was crowded with 300 odd people. To make my night and sleep better, I thought of to reach airport and have relaxed sleep for 3/4 hours.
I took vehicle and reached Airport premises, where the barricades stopped and vehicle can not get into Airport premises. I tried to search security, CISF so vehicle can be allowed. But, it was no light and no security. I, gave a big thanks to driver and took my all luhgage for a midnight walk 👣 at 2:45 am.
Now, I reached Airport building at 2:50 and the entries are locked 🔐, there is no man or security at Airport. I can here some noises of human being but all from dark 🌑..... Finally I found 2 more strangers. Alas! They are not human being; but cow and buffalow.... There is 4th person now also who is creating noise... It's a Dog 🐶.
Yes, this is really a surprise to me, we call this International Airport of One of the State capital of India. And, Airport is closed at midnight... Surprise and Shocking both.
Why I mention Bus terminus in title is because, in 2011 Christmas winter I stuck at morning 4 am at Bus depot at Ludhiana... At that time also situation was quite similar. But at least we had 1 Thela their to have Tea ☕ at 4 am in morning. Here at International Airport, I can't have option of even a glass of water, waiting area, fan or anything xyz. What is giving company now is bunch of mosquitoes.
